can 2.3 vtec head fit on 2.2 block
can a 98 honda accord 2.3 liter cylinder head fit on a 94 honda 2.2 accord ex vtec block
my 94 has all stock parts on it, if it does fit would i need to change the ecu or anything else to make it work properly
Here is the reason why i need a head (U DONT HAVE TO READ THIS IF YOU DDONT WANNA)
i traded my b18b1 hatch for this damn auto ex accord sedan
ya i know it was a kinda dumb thing to do plus i really wanted a stick but i had no money to add to the trade so i ended up wit a even trade
i test drove the car 3day b4 i bought it it ran great (minus a dented finder an a jacked up door lock an torn driver side leather seat)i check the oil an it was about a quart low but i thought nothin of it)
3 days later the guy came to my house to make the trade an i didnt really drive the at the time of the trade or check the oil b/c what car ***** up in 3days
after the guy left with my hatch i got in the accord to drive my dad to dinner and i rolled up the windows an turned on ac
we drove like 3 miles an ate dinner but when i came back out an stated the car it was knockin pretty bad, so i checked the oil an the stick was dry
i put 2quarts in it to get home an changed the oil the next day
over the past week the head only seems to sound worse (no smoke at all out tail pipes,no check engine, no noise from the block its gotta be the head)
i also noticed the car had like an extra 200miles on it an he said he hadnt checked the oil in 6weeks but he didnt know it was out of oil an it wont his fault **** HIM!!!

Re: can 2.3 vtec head fit on 2.2 block (STPREZ)
i cant really tell you for sure if everything fits...but the easiest way would be keep all you existing stuff like intakemanifold, distributer, etc.. i dont think the exhaust manifolds will interchange though, so you would need a new exhaust manifold possibly then just swap the actual head itself, then you would not need to modify the wiring, ecu, etc..again im not 100% positive...
