will aircraft paint remover dissolve fiberglass?
Just a simple question. I just want to get rid of the paint on som fiberglass and instead of talking all the time to sand it off, can I use paint remover? I am just wondering if it will start to dissolve the fiberglass along with the paint. = ]
thanks in advance.

I doubt it would, but I'd say you'd get a much better result and a better surface to respray on when you sand it. Dont do it by hand tho

well, i will be laying down some new fiberglass and such, and im not opposed to sanding it, but it will take a lot more time to sand off the existing paint rather than taking off the paint then sanding it smooth.

I am pretty sure you will be okay. I think I used aircraft paint remover when my dad and I did the frame up on the 68 vette. I would have to check what we used.

If your quick about it, you'll be ok. But leave it on there too long, and it will definatly start eroding the resin.
