I have put a lot of time, effort and money into retrofitting new and used JDM parts onto my Canadian 1989 model CRX SI. The car is now about 90% done and i'll be posting up pics for the 1st time ever on Honda-tech within a coulpe days. Just wondering how many other people have really gone the extra mile in quest of real jdm upgrades?

My short list of genuine parts for the crx:

New zc hood, oem sir vtec tail lights, sir gauge cluster, full sir doors, power windows, switches, carpeted door panels, power fold in mirrors, Regamaster 15" EVO competetion forged rims, sir rear disk upgrade, sir leather steering wheel, sir climate control, B16B engined stroked into a B18C type R 1.8L, sir shift linkage, new oem red valve cover and chrome oil cap, jdm ys1 lsd tranny, oem cloth 1991 zc seats with crx stiching and lumbar support, and last but not least a spoon 4-2-1 header.

I have other custom mods, but want to know only about jdm products.

Got any pics of your ride? Just a few accessories I have done to my USDM crx is a complete jdm rear seat in mint shape, JDM armrest, sidemarkers, maplight, climate control, jdm cluster (not installed yet) and jdm floormats. I know its not much but a small start. Im lookin for a set of jdm power windows and tailights i just havent felt like blowing the money yet

jdm floormats are useless... they are made to fit rhd cars so they are cut differently.

Well mine isnt so JDM'ed out more like USDM optioned out. I have a white 90 crx si with a b16 swap to start off with. Exterior wise i have new mudflaps front and rear, honda sunroof wind deflector, stock crx foglights, even have the factory option car cover and bra( not installed) . Interior wise i have mint si seats, factory option armrest, factory option floormats. I have the whole EF8 front end conversion waiting to put on next week. And many other parts not mentioned because they are not factory options.

^^ sounds like a good project. The parts don't all have to be oem, aftermarket parts can be jdm too.

you are talking about doing all this jdm crap to your car and u dont even have a jdm front end conversion? that would be the place to start

At first glance I see a stock CRX bumper, with "halo eyes" and clear corner lights.

Now, I do see a pretty B series motor, and a ZC hood. That's pretty nice. From the back, I see a hideous wing. IMO, that needs to go. I do like how your exhaust looks though, exactly what exhaust are you running under there?

About the only "JDM" things I see on your ride are the tails, and the hood.

If I were you, I'd replace the headlights with the stockies, track down a JDM front end, get a JDM SiR CRX spoiler to replace your supra wing, get a set of SiR sidemarkers. The wing and the headlights just kill it, IMO.

Wholy smokes...my wing. I know its old school, i put it on back in 1995, thats "10 years" ago, style changes all the time. I haven't driven the car for like 4 years.

If you can look past the wing and notice i have ya real zc hood, Regamater Evo set of true forged rim mounted on Yokohama Grand Prix tires with rim gard, SIR rear disk conversion, SIR folding mirrors, complete SIR doors with power windows and the cool upper 1/2 carpeted door panels, true ZC full cloth seats in mint shape, laether wraped SIR steering wheel, SIR cluster and yes a fun little B series engine tucked under the hood connected to a ys1 lsd. I would say its not a bad list of parts.
