de-riceifying my riced up civic
i have a front kit, and side skirts, all came with the car when i bought it. the rear bumper is a stock one. now, after a year of driving it and the front kit just cracking, i have decided to change it back to stock.
i called certifit and it cost 30 bucks for a aftermarket oem front bumper. BUT, i cant seem to find anywhere where they sell the stock sides (the plastic thing that goes under the door (about 2 inches x 5 feet?). cuttently i have some banged up rice side skirts, and underneath it is metal, so its going to look ugly. do anyone know where can i buy the sides for cheap? and how many bolts and or screws connect them? thanks

i would get them as they are kinda hard to come by. there isnt a honda in a junk yard around here for at least 100 miles. ive been to them all
or go to honda themselves and get new

they wont fit, ur gonna hafte to look for a different set of side skirts. You can try the sedan, but im pretty sure the dimensions are a bit off. If you do happen to buy them and they do fit, post it, that would suprise me, but hey nothin wrong with a little constructive rectification

do they come painted from certifit?
your gonna need to find a different set of sideskirts though, if you want them to fit nicely....try other junkyards
im not sure if this site will have a listing for them but you can try, http://www.car-part.com it searches all the junkyards in your state or area, found many cheap doors and fenders from there

80 bucks isnt bad for the skirts, but in my experience of going thru salvage yards i have discovered that if you just go up and say, "aww ****, ive only got like 50 bucks on me" that around 75% of the time they will sell it to you anyways because those skirts arent doing that guy any favors sitting around and rotting.

De-riceifying a riced up civic...best decision ever. Just bought an EK hatch and had to do a little de-ricing myself. Had to take the altezzas off (going on e-bay this weekend), and I still need to take the indiglo gauges that have a slime design on them out (going on e-bay as well). De-rice your car, and put your rice products on ebay...it's a win win situation.
