Re: (Reckless636)
try banging on the tail a little. if i remember correctly, there's a ball somewhere in there that tells the bike if it's on its side, and shuts the bike off if laid down. sometimes the ball gets stuck.
somebody back me up on this or tell me im crazy.

You're not crazy, it's the tipover sensor.
When the bike leans to far to one side the circuit is completed and the bike shuts off. Not quite the ball rolling around in the tail that you make it out to be
They are usually in the tail of the bike somewhere
Maybe a 600rr owner will chime in on exactly where it is on your bike.

Re: (RebornGSR)
If you are talking about a "bank angle sensor" it located towards the front, maybe in the nose section? I don't know exactly where, sorry. Wire harness leads towards the rear...

The bank angle sensor is in the upper that the front most part. I installed mine upside down when switching upper, prevented the bike from starting. I felt like a jackass once I figured it out.

yea what reborn said, it's prolly your tip over switch aka fuel cut off causing your bike not to start back up. just wait a few mins the start her back up again. idk how hondas tip over are like but suzuki you would have to wait til the magnetic pendulum gets to its vertical position.

tilt sensor is in between the headlight lenses behind the upper. it is interesting you have this problem; a friend laid his 04 down and after a while, he held the throttle wide open and kept on cranking. started eventually... you can also bypass the tilt sensor for test purposes but if you can hear your fuel pump you are all set.
