Default 1998 Honda Accord Ex... Keyless entry probs

All of a sudden my keyless entry will unlock and pop the hood, but not lock, it is the original factory installed system.

uhhh. pop the hood?!?!? You mean the trunk right? lol

You might just need to get either the remote reprogrammed or to purchase a new remote...

Yup, I meant trunk...(sometimes the blonde shines through). Yeah when it cools off I was going to go outside and try to reprogram my remotes. If that doesnt work, I was going to buy new ones. I just hope it isnt anything in the car. I would hate to have to replace anything in there.. Could the battery being low have anything to do with it? (car battery)

doubtful. If it was the car's battery, then none of the functions would work.

It's something in your unit its self or the remote

my thinking is the contacts or something else within the unlock switch on the remote's board its self is bad.

I know what you're talking about, but I doubt that's something they're gonna wanna do. I know the Civic's keyless has the relays built onto a board in a white unit down in the kick panel... but they are soldered on and unless you have a decent knowledge of electronics you're most likely not going to want to mess with that though.

Pretty much it looks like unless you know someone who doesn't mind working with stuff like that you might have to take it to a shop.
