07/26/2015 - I'm in the same boat. Shame on Honda for not using decent bolts (stainless) in an area saturated with caustic fluids.
The broken bolt on my civic is the lower forward bolt just below...

I have a 96 Accord with vtec 4 cyl.
There is a leak that will actually trickle coolant if you remove the radiator cap so the system can breath. even with a mirror I can't see the spot, but it is...

check the weep holes on the side near the water pump. if the pump seals have failed then coolant will come out one or both these holes. It's normal when this happens for there...

looks more like transmission fluid to me. the color will get much darker than its normal red when it leaks due to the dirt and stuff on the engine.

I have a 1996 Accord used by my son. Which makes me the mechanic! I thought this forum would be a good place to get info to use to keep it running. It has 200k+ miles and still runs strong. ...
