Re: 2001 civic ex "randomly" stalling

Only one plug isn't connected, I am thinking its related, but I...

Re: What bearings do I need?

They gave you some really good advice. Does not cost much to have a crank ground and polished, and the machine shop will sell you the mains and rods cheap. Also your gonna need to put in a new oil...

Re: 2001 civic Starts then stalls after timing belt Change. Help!!

Exactly, the marks can be on, but the belt will go either way, and my luck usually the wrong way is the way it goes. Remember this is an interference engine, the valves will hit the pistons of it is...

Icon2 2000 Civic 1.6 into 2001 Vtec 1.7 Civic?

I am not even sure I want to consider this, but I can get a wrecked running 2000 civic with a 1.6, and I probably need an engine for my 2001 Vtec, is it a straight up swap?

Thanks

Re: 2001 civic Starts then stalls after timing belt Change. Help!!

Obvious question,. did it fail, or was it a preventive maintenance? If it was driving when it broke or stripped, the valves are wasted

Still cannot find a definitive answer about the head bolts though

I found a manual PDF Online,

.002 or less rock on
.003 to .008 Surface.
Greater than .008 replace assembly.

Re: Did I blow another head gasket?

If you did not surface the head, and it is warped that's going to be it. Also could be a crack in the head. I read in the book they recommend replacing the head bolts as well. I am ready to...
