Re: o2 Sensor

extending an o2 sensor with too long of a piece of wire, or splicing in a heavier gauge wire will cause voltage drop, and potentially an o2 low voltage code.

Re: running car with leaked compressor

there is oil in the a/c system but it is unlikely to cause damage to anything, and it often doesn't leak like a standard oil. the refrigerant boils well below 0 degrees, so any that leaked would...

Re: running car with leaked compressor

1. yes. in one test, a luminous dye is injected into a small amount of refrigerant to test for a leak from a specific spot. this is done after a leak is confirmed by failing to pull or hold a vacuum....

Re: Adding interior lights

it can be done, but the map lights use a positive switch - chassis ground would need to be removed and switched, or the constant 12v wire has to be switched with a relay.

you would lose...

Re: Car Leaking Water after Radiator Hose Replacement

if it's just water, it's not uncommon after a flush with a hose. plenty of spots residual water can sit on an engine/in an engine bay until drying or being sloshed off.

Re: Adding interior lights

97 civic ex? usdm?

whatever the model, if it has switches in the door jamb, the single wire behind the interior panels of the b-pillar and c-pillar in sedans, can be used for the ground of an led.

Re: 91 sedan hood doesnt close all the way...

i would check the rubber hood bumpers on the radiator support. if they aren't too far up, the latch may be too far up/or over to one side.

Re: Adding interior lights

is the dome light there?

if the stock stereo is removed, the dome light is disabled. if the light is still there, two wires can be connected in the stock stereo harness to make the dome light...

is your interior hood lever broken?

if the cable isn't pushed back all the way, it wont let the latch lock the hood down.

Re: Someone tried to steal my car, destroyed the ignition-how do I hot wire it now?

i would suggest getting a new ignition switch as any sort of hotwiring you do will make the car that much easier to steal.

White/Black - Accessory

Black/Yellow - Ignition 1

yes. for removal wire would need to be grounded if alarm is still active

Re: HELP HELP REPLACING WINDOW HARNESS!!

if what you see in going in to the door isn't cut - it would be just the door harness. two harnesses connect at the door frame with a weather-pack type connector.

as for tips on removing, a small...

Re: HELP HELP REPLACING WINDOW HARNESS!!

as long as it's not cut at the main plug/harness passing through door frame, it should be an easy job.

disconnect all the plugs - pry out wire holders and install in reverse order.

Re: Revving While in Park (After Crash)

it's either a vacuum leak or there is air in your cooling system.

Re: How is the CRX/EF horn set up?
