Do you have to get the lower intake manifold nuts from underneath the car or can you get to them from the topside

I have valve seals leaking and I suspect I have a bent/burnt valve I'm going to just replace head with a reman. My main concern is the lower intake manifold nuts I hear there a pain to get to .. Can...

Can't you just pull the head and intake manifold together?
