Agree, along with running good gas, run premium octane as well, if you figure your mileage with low octane and then again after a tank of premium, you will most likely find that you get many more...

the reason the line bore needs to be done is once the bearing spins the cradle that it sits in is no longer round. when you line bore you shave off some of the material on either the cap or cradle...

The 1990-93 and the 1997 use the same timing belt so the gears should be the same style tooth. There may be some casting differences so if you are retaining the gear on the head be sure to check...

I agree... even if he has resurfaced the block, your head, albeit a good used part is not going to be perfectly flat so it will need to be to insure a good seal, if you can't do this then definitely...
