check the side tap to see if they have tension....

check the side tap to see if they have tension. Also, place a positive DMM lead on the side and thw negative in the bottom tou should see 12 volts.

sounds like a clutch and pressure plate...

sounds like a clutch and pressure plate replacemwnr needed. when it grinds it ia because the clutch is not diengaging entirely.

the EGR system will be active at low rpms while coating. have your honda friend get egr fliw readings. also while your at it chexk your o2 reading and fuel trims at the same time.
