Also I rememer reading that the evap systems are very complex and not for the novice mechanic. If you cant figure it out with a couple cheap parts, id throw in the towell and go to a cheap mechanic....

No problem. That was the worst three months of my life. I dont remember what p1457 is but if you have the same problem as me thats not good news. I think mine ended up having ppor compression in one...

218,000 on the distributor, but the coil is new.
I'm just a little intimidated by the timing light. I was hoping I could eyeball it based on the old one? You don't think so?

I have a 95 honda civic ex. I have a pretty bad leak from my distributor o ring and today I opened up the distributor cap and saw some oil in there too. SO apparently the shaft seal is leaking also....

It's put of the car and I assuming no oil. It's a 2.3 l vtec f23a1. It had basically no miles on it (less than 10k) and it was for $600. It seems too good to be true but its a legit salvage yard....

The engine is guaranteed but labor is not. Will the rollover crash hurt the engine at all? I know that the block and head are not cracked and...

I've actually clean out egr ports and even replaced egr valve already. The weird thing this time, is that i never noticed a misfire. It idles kind of hard, but no sputtering, etc.

car seems to be driving ok. But CEL came on again and this time its is p0304 "cylinder 4 misfire" and p1399 "random cylinder misfire.
Maybe if it burns a bunch of oil it fouled by spark plugs...?...

Well, the oil was 3.5 quarts low even though i've never seen a drop on the drive way and the car doesn't smoke. I just did an oil change myself about 2 months ago. Crazy. Only thing i could figure,...

My wife is out of town with the car (it had been driving better) so I havent been able to look at the grounds. Is it just at the location of the battery and the alternator? I thought i read somewhere...

This is driving me crazy!!! My wife drove the car on a 4 hour round trip had no problems. Then she stopped at walmart, and at the next stop sign it stalled. She HAD to push the gas to get it to start...

ok UPDATE: i went ahead and replaced the evap cvs valve and i haven't seen p1457 since. I thought that fixed it and everything was running better until my wife was driving it today and it stalled out...
