Re: Soft brake pedal after rear disk swap. 99 ex

I've gone through about 2 bottles of brake fluid bleeding these things. Unless it could have air somehow trapped at the proportioning valve. I have about a half brake pedal and it gets really firm...

Re: Heavy oil consumption in '03 Honda Accord

There is a PCM update for oil consumption.... But they sometimes don't work. How long do u go between oil changes? Why was the timing chain replaced? Was the vtc done at the same time?

Re: JIS Screwdriver

The hardest screws to get out to me are the door lock screws which I think are a 3. You can't air hammer them hard or you can punch though the door

Re: 2006 civic ac working intermittently

Could also be relay or low on charge. We need more info. Humidity and temperature thru the day makes a big difference

Re: Problems lowering 02 civic lx

That could be alignment issues due to the toe being out after lowering. But with spring noise and fitment you get what you pay for.

Re: Strange sound from underside of Civic?

Possibly strut top bearings. Btw that greasy stuff could be a bad tranny dipstick if its auto. The wiggle in the hole after the rubber shrinks and gets crank everywhere from tranny fluid puking out

Icon5 Re: Too much oil in engine from Dealer??

A inch over shouldn't cause that I would think. I had a 01 accord yesterday that was about 4 or 5 inches over and that car was screwed up. Had oil dripping out the tail pipe. Lol

Re: picture of 2001 honda civic hood prop

Make sure your car has the right battery in it as well. I see a lot of cars with a wrong battery and the prop will lay over the positive post. May be why it was taken out

Re: Cooling fans not coming on ?

Turn the ac on to see if the fans work. Both should come on. If not tap the fan motors and see if they start to spin. If so its a bad motor

Re: Spark plug replacement

Only run NGk plugs in a Honda. You could also run denso but we stick to the NGks at my dealer

I actually had a 01 odessey come in today with a random misfire code after the owner changed plugs in...

Re: Oil pan change?

The Honda dealer can put in what's called a time sert into the pan. It's very hard to put one in on a v6 due to clearances of the subframe. But it's a good fix and adds metal threads for the drain...

Re: Oil pan change?

By the way you do not have to remove the crossmember to do any v6 oil pan on a Honda. You can jack up on the ac compressor bracket and fit the pan out of any of them. I do the pans in less than 45...

Re: 2004 Accord ac problems

The the ac on pop the hood and see if both fans are running. If not it probably has a leak or such. If they are then it could be electrical. Check ac relay by tapping it and see if compressor kicks on
