Sorry about not replying for a while. Lack of Internet sucks. It did stop when I unplugged it, so I pulled it out and cleaned it with some tb cleaner, it fixed a 1.5k to 2k rpm jump at idle, and...

Re: Alternator light flickers

1. This might sound stupid, have you replaced the wires on your battery? Make sure you have the correct gauge, a small wire won't hold as much current, and the resistance will go up with high...

I will try that next time it screws up. Its pretty much hit or miss, been driving it a bit lately, and it hasn't done it. About where is this plug at?

Re: constant heat coming thru vents?

But won't fix the problem. Just hides it. Which is what is wrong with most honda owners.

Re: Lower radiator hose doesn't heat up? No overheating though.

Bottom hose SHOULDN'T be hot. As that stuff is going into your motor to cool it, the TOP should be hot, as that is the coolant that has just cooled your motor. Hot coolant enters the top, flows...

Re: need help heater dont work

Grab upper radiator hose and rev it a little ~ 3k if a surge is felt, your water pump is good. Sounds like a bad water pump to me though.

Re: Do I have VTEC?

Oil can appear around the dipstick from combustion gasses getting into the crankcase. (You're oil rings or compression rings might need to be looked at.) There is also some crankcase pressure thing...

Re: leaking oil through headers?

If you have oil on your exhaust manifold. It is probably dripping down the valve through the seal, which means you might want to look at the valve steam guide seal. If you are leaking or burning...

Re: cylinder #3 detonation

That's a good point hondaguy83, if the diode was bent it too far away from the electrode, it could have jumped through the threads to the center, melting the center! Holy poop.

Re: gutting a cat

Don't gut it. Not enough back pressure is bad. Too much back pressure is bad. Do you think that the OEM would design an engine that had too much/not enough back pressure from the factory? With stock...

Re: Catalytic converter compatability

I would guess that most cats would be made out of the same stuff. Honestly, think about the differences in the engines. If you put a cat off of a 2.6 engine, onto a 1.8, I would say it would work...

Re: cylinder #3 detonation

Did you tighten the crap out of one? If there are scratch marks on the piston, or marks right above where the spark plug is, they could have come in contact. If it was too loose, the threads would be...

Re: 60+ mph vibration.

As a response to the OP, the braking system would not cause that kind of vibration. Jack up the vehicle, and jerk the wheels around, if one of the wheels moves more then the others, that is a hint to...
