I would say your clutch is slipping. how does it pull when you take off? does it feel like it hesitates to move the car even tho your engine is accelerating fine?

I just did mine and it took about three hours start to finish on a h22. Make sure you have the harmonic balancer holder or your not going to even get started. lol

If your alternator is bad your car will still start, it just won't recharge itself. I would check the solenoid on the starter or your ignition tumbler. My key is really worn down and I need a new...
