I took it to a mechanic to have a look, he said their was a clip missing from the caliper. but that it wasn't anything to be concerned about.

So I took a look under it and couldn't really tell what was making the sound, but i did just kinda move the brake rotor shield around. When i went driving later i didn't hear the sound for a good...

I really hope it's not the head gasket, but the repair shop did replace the head.
it doesn't look like it's holding oil at all, but i don't see a leak

turns out it was a bent valve, the timing was fine. I decided to go ahead and get it fixed

Its an 89 Honda Civic Dx.
Was driving home and the timing belt broke, I was in 2nd or 3rd gear when it happened.
It was a friend who replaced the timing belt and water pump, we've also replaced...
