yeah travel should be around 3/4", look under the dash at the clutch master cylinder look at its rubber boot area check that for leaks if it looks dry... make sure you have the clutch bled good, the...

and when the pedal get hard... is the engine shutting off? if the engine shuts off the pedal will become hard to push because there is no vacuum to the power brake booster.

a bad brake booster can cause the brake pedal to become hard to push. to quick test it do this.......with the car off pump the brake pedal 3 or 4 times until its good and stiff then hold your foot on...

1-Make sure you have the pins greased up really good so they slide smoothly
2-Make sure you Don't over fill the brake fluid. overfilling will cause the brakes to self apply and can cause the rotor...

correct me if i'm wrong but if you jump the plug (short the service connector) and the CEL stays solid that means code 0, which is problem with ecu

what happens when you check for codes? does the check engine light flash the codes out or does it just stay solid?
