I'd keep em or get new ones. Small rocks and ish are gonna end up in the door jams, headlights and fenders. Helps keep all that clean.

Change out that hose clamp/hose, it may cause a slow leak like that and end up on the block. I never really trust those tension clamps( don't know if that's what it really is called , oh well sue me,...

Do a leak down test, should tel you if your head gasket is leaking. But don't use any additive repairing sealents, they can clog other vital ports in the block and ruin the water pump
