Re: Need H-T Help more than ever!!!

I hope you meant you hooked the batteries up in parallel in your first post....
I am wondering if there is something wrong with your fuel pump, that may be sucking a lot more power than it should,...

Re: Best size fuse for battery relocation?

You would be safe with 130A breaker/fuse for 1awg

Re: Best size fuse for battery relocation?

Also since it's the starter we are talking about, are you missing the ground wire from the frame to the tranny? If so, that is one less path back to the battery, I would advise getting that back on...

Re: Best size fuse for battery relocation?

If it was not properly crimped, then that will be a failing point in the future. That's typically where corrosion starts and is a shitty way to do it. Also I would only run a maximum of 80A fuse with...

Icon6 Re: Best size fuse for battery relocation?

Yep, amp draw will increase to do the same amount of work with longer cables, and the equation is only 3 variables :P

Basically you need to know how many amps the starter will draw, factor in...

Re: Best size fuse for battery relocation?

Is it Aluminum or Copper wire? If it's copper the max I would go is 100A fuse, if it's aluminum then the max I would go is 75A fuse. Since I can't see what type of wire it is, then any larger fuses...

Re: Best size fuse for battery relocation?

The max fuse size you can get will depend on the type of wire you bought. 2awg sure as hell isn't rated for 250A, you would have to go up to 90 deg C 4/0 for that many amps.

What type of wire did...

Re: Davila's 67mm H2B Midwest killer build

Incredible build! Looks awesome, would almost be sad to see it get dirty lol. Do you know what the volume of that intake manifold is?

Re: Blown Fuse. No Tail lights!!!

If it wasnt installed properly, connections can easily break, or work free. I would start with all those connections behind the stereo

Re: Blown Fuse. No Tail lights!!!

Yes putting a 30A fuse into a 10A socket can very well be damaging. If a water pipe was only rated for 10 psi would you put 30 psi through it and walk by it? With more current you are overloading the...

Re: Whats the purpose of a lightweight wing/spoiler?

Two spoilers made to the same dimensions such that they produce the same downforce at any given speed, except one is 5 lbs heavier, is only going to give you an extra 5 lbs on the rear end aka dead...

Re: Turbo-LS's Build/Rebuild Pics/Discussion

So you're making over 700whp now, and looks like you are capable of well over 800, why did you get the 3.5L ultra mani rather than the 4.5L?

Re: Help: EG Civic with uneven parking light brightness.

Did you even check your grounds like I said? Take your meter, measure voltage at the light socket, then measure voltage from the positive on your socket and put the negative lead on your battery and...

Re: Help: EG Civic with uneven parking light brightness.

What is your battery voltage compared to the voltage at your lights? Only way to increase your voltage there is to reduce the resistance

Re: Battery not charging on 92 civic after second alternator! What could it be?

Bad grounds typically kill electronics like that. Even though it's making a connection, it's a bad one. A multi meter typically wouldn't give you much insight to how good or bad the connection is...

Re: Help: EG Civic with uneven parking light brightness.

If they have the same voltage, and you swap bulbs and the same side is still dim there is only one other thing I can think of-bad ground. Check your resistance from the negative terminal of the light...

Re: Help: EG Civic with uneven parking light brightness.

Don't worry about checking resistance through the bulb, just check your voltage at the connectors. Have you cleaned all that corrosion off yet?

Re: Dimmer switch questions

Were you blowing fuses admunst your trial and error? Maybe you missed a fuse, or burned out your potentiohmeter (dimmer switch) and/or burnt out your bulbs when hooking the power wires to ground......
