I have had the same build. I also added boost. With out boost I really didn't notice any difference in power then my stock z6. What misinformation are you talking about. I have first hand experience...

I know you said you tested the alternator but swap it out with a new one.
just because it test good don't always mean its good..

I had same problem, tested and replaced everything... ended up...

ok maybe 10 15 more HP then a stock z6..
z6 is a vtec motor.
higher compression is only good if you are doing a all motor build...
single cam all motor is point less... cost too much to for...

For what reason are you doing a y7 y8 mini me swap.

You wont get any more power.

Go full z6 OBD-1.. better head and can get more power it modded....

I did a swap and did not use the 40/40 proportioning valve.. It stops on a dime.. Just make sure you have the right brake booster

This is the one you want to use!!

P28 is a OBD-1 VTEC no Knock and no 3 wire IACV

I'm guessing the alarm does not give enough power to the horn.
Wire it to the horn wire in the steering wheel.

build a full z6 or y8
you will spend more time working out all the crap on the mini-me for no real gains
