Re: Preparing block for more boost, what rods and pistons?

Buying someone else's half-ass, half-finished projects are always a good idea

Re: Preparing block for more boost, what rods and pistons?

For the cost of cams, springs, and retainers you might as well just swap to a VTEC head. It will have better flowing ports and larger cams.

Re: true street vs sfwd whats the difference?

AFAIK, True Street requires exhaust to have a muffler and exit under the car (no hood exit) and are limited to a 67.9mm turbo. SFWD allows a 72mm turbo, hood exit exhaust, slightly larger tires (25"...

Re: B18B vs B18C block for turbo?

The GSR block will make it a bit less problematic to throw your VTEC head on there. I'd probably go for the GSR block as long as it isn't prohibitively more expensive than the B18B. The oil squirters...

Re: question about my gsr turbo set up

I think you're going to have a very hard time making 450whp on 93 octane with a 57-trim, unless it's on a very generous dyno.

Re: B20b (JDM High Comp) with T3 60-1 spool characteristics and power output

I think you're confusing turbos, because a Saab turbo is not a 60-1.

Re: B20b (JDM High Comp) with T3 60-1 spool characteristics and power output

If you want full boost at 3000 you're going to have to look much smaller than a T3/60-1

Re: I'm kinda confused on what turbo i have.

Need more details man.

If it's a plain-jane T3/TO4E 57-trim there really isn't any harm. If it's a custom unit with different turbine and compressor wheels it won't be an issue if the right wheels...

Re: quick 76 racegas ? would it do anything?

It depends entirely on what turbo you have. If you're already near maxing out your turbo on pump gas it won't make much of a difference. But if you're running something large like a GT35R and running...

Re: True Street Class Civic 9.23@152/9.24@156. New PB

Dyno numbers aren't really that important if he's gettin' it at the track. Too many variances between dynos to really qualify anything. 770 uncorrected on a dyno dynamics or mustang dyno could be a...

Re: turbo filters/screens

When you say 50K miles do you mean miles on KM's? Just have to check, because I'm Canadian as well and I sometimes say miles for the benefit of the majority of readers who are American.

Re: Where can I find this manifold?!?!

Very descriptive information. Was it in a gutted CRX or a 4-door Integra with subs? Was it on slicks, or street tires? What was the DA when he ran it? Etc, etc, etc. Just saying he ran a 14.2 on a...

Re: B18b, LsVtec, or B18c...Which should i boost?

What would you rather have a for a street motor, the one that is tuned to 450 whp on 91 octane with a considerable amount of leeway for high ambient temps, IC heat soak, a fuel pump issue or poor...

Re: B18b, LsVtec, or B18c...Which should i boost?

Nothing has really flipped, just the availability of E85 has really changed things around. People have made 850+ WHP on E85, it's basically like getting C16 out of the pump. If you're building a...

Re: Fully built b18b1

You're talking about running an 85x95 motor to get the turbo to spool quicker, but you still want to run an LS head? More cylinder head flow is just as, if not more, important than having a slightly...

Re: ITB Turbo?

If ITB's are so great, why doesn't anyone sell aftermarket larger throttles for RB26's and most everyone converts to a single throttle
