Just use a damn z6 motor, its the best D, make sure it is healthy, turbo it, have it tuned properly by a pro, keep it around 200 whp, and...

The worst part is, you went and dropped $800 on a new LS long block, you probably just broke a ring or cracked a ring land.

Why didnt you tear down and put in new pistons/rings/bearings for $300...

you are referencing the fact that the stock map sensor can only read up to 11 psi, which is true. But if you were only tuned to 8 psi, when you turn it up to 11 psi, the map is going to use the same...

If not you may need to find a couple bad ass little 700-800 cfm fans to put on that tucked rad.

Thanks guys, I just wanted some confirmation that 12:1 was excessive.

I know you want a richer AFR because timing won't be tuned. 6:1 may be a bit lean to be on the safe side, I just can't decide...

You want an LS crank, so you get the full stroke = extra free power.

for 300 whp you dont need sleeves, you dont even need a built motor, a stock motor will do fine..

I sincerely hope if you do this and you intend to re use the block, you dont move the sleeves while your chiseling it, and good luck getting it all out of there when its that full of filler.

Any of you guys who have been doing this stuff since the late 90's should have seen this done before....

And if you mean you filled the water jackets, leaving an 1/8" on top and 1" on bottom...

You do need to do a lot more research and figure out everything you need to know about turbo set ups etc.

That being said, You can boost your sohc y7 and would be very happy with it if you do it...
