Just use a damn z6 motor, its the best D, make sure it is healthy, turbo it, have it tuned properly by a pro, keep it around 200 whp, and...

Re: Finally Boosted...........

The worst part is, you went and dropped $800 on a new LS long block, you probably just broke a ring or cracked a ring land.

Why didnt you tear down and put in new pistons/rings/bearings for $300...

Re: turning up the boost?

you are referencing the fact that the stock map sensor can only read up to 11 psi, which is true. But if you were only tuned to 8 psi, when you turn it up to 11 psi, the map is going to use the same...

Re: High Coolant Temps H22/FI/Civic

Is it possible to throw in a stock full length radiator to see what happens?

If not you may need to find a couple bad ass little 700-800 cfm fans to put on that tucked rad.

Re: Trying to do some math for fmu's

Thanks guys, I just wanted some confirmation that 12:1 was excessive.

I know you want a richer AFR because timing won't be tuned. 6:1 may be a bit lean to be on the safe side, I just can't decide...

Trying to do some math for fmu's

Kinda long post, sorry, but needed to understand my reasoning!

So let me start by saying, I understand fmu's are a dated technology that are obsolete with modern tuning capabilities.

That being...

Re: borg warner gm-1

If your determined to try it then just do it.

You don't need someone who has actually used one to tell you that the turbine is huge and spool is going to suck

Re: blox cast mani/ JDM sport copy

I use a jdm sport cast mani and it works great for cheap it was $75 new.

When you look at cast mani quality they are all thick cast which is good for reliability.

The things that really matter...

This will determine ultimatly what your able to do with boosting your 12:1 motor.

It is reasonable to and safe to...

Re: crank questions

They say that because they are covering their butts as far as warranty stuff goes, they have been used beyond 500 whp with success.

But as far as over building goes, you cant even use the CSS with...

Re: Turbo Selection for Fast Spool

A 14b and small 16g will have almost the same spool time, but the 16g will support a bit more power and should hold boost to 7200 rpm better than a 14b.

However a 14b will easily do 230 whp as...

Re: crank questions

Re: ls vtec turbo

Jeez, this stuff hasn't been discussed 15,000 times on every honda forum for the last 15 years.....

for 300 whp you dont need sleeves, you dont even need a built motor, a stock motor will do fine..

Re: 84mm in a B16

Sounds legit, awesome score on the free motor man!

I would def. go to 84mm the more displacement you get out of a b16 the better, you need as much extra tq. as you can get.

As far as...
