Re: cr-v build?

A few of us are building one, and quite a few have built one. Why don't YOU do a cr-v build? I wondered the same thing a while back (later realized they were built), and finally got my hands on one...

Re: Key won't turn in ignition.

Yes, 10-15 years of use in his 2011 Honda Element.

Re: d16 cr-v

Doesn't really matter why he wants to do it, or if it would be a bad idea.. he just asked if it fits. The answer to that is YES, you could fit the engine, but as mentioned you may have drive train...

Re: 99 CRV Project

Hmm.. guess I'm more curious of how the fuel would work. With compression worst case scenario I clock global timing back. I'm curious what the b20 runs its afr at and duty cycle of injectors at...

Any info on running b18a with b20z stock ECU? Just need it to get home (78 miles), not looking for long term. How rich/lean will it be?

Re: 99 CRV Project

Ordered new rings, bottom end gasket kit, and still trying to find a shop around here to sleeve my block. I also received head, cams, springs, and intake mani yesterday. I started cleaning all of...

Re: 2007 CRV Instrument Panel Fail, HELP!

I wonder if you have a loose connection in the back? I looked at the picture earlier, and just now. It seems some of the characters are missing segments? I think that if the panel was going to...

Re: 2007 CRV Instrument Panel Fail, HELP!

I'm not sure how those look on the backside, but I'm thinking unless you've got a bit of electronics repair, the dealer is probably going to be the best bet - loads of money or not.

Is the screen...

Re: 1st Gen 97 CRV powertrain problem

Is the buck possibly the car downshifting into first? What if you shift the car all the way to low and then try the slowing down to idle speed, does it still jerk? Wonder how the trans fluid...

Re: 99 CRV Project

Picked up the template for my build this weekend. CP Pistons, eagle rods, water pump, oil pump, etc. I took quick measurements of 2 of the cylinder tops, seemed to be just a hair over 81mm. I was...

Re: Ls-V Sawp into my 00' Cr-v

Ahh, mudding would be ok haha. I just prepped my jeep for some rock crawling, and I couldn't imagine doing it without low end torque, but top end power would be just fine in mud. Careful you keep...

Re: 99 CRV Project

So, couple questions about an ECU setup. First, what's the chances of my stock OBD2 ECU being able to run this motor? Generally I'm all about doing it right the first time, but I'm building this...

Re: Ls-V Sawp into my 00' Cr-v

Nice setup. What type of trails are you building this for? Or is it just street duty and small off road?

Re: Has My Engine Been Swapped? How Do I Check?

@OP Apparently the vin for the engine should be located "right above the oil pan on the block behind the header." According to another thread I just pulled up. That's for 96 and newer, so if for...

Re: 99 CRV Project

haha, I ship to Canada far too often with my job.. I think taxes and customs would probably over shadow any price or performance difference from someone in the states. That being said, I'll check...

Re: 99 CRV.

This looks great! Awesome job.

How are the ksports treating you? I saw them on my search for suspension and they seemed like the winner as far as application specific goes.

Re: 99 CRV Project

Thanks for the responses guys.

I guess I should clarify. I didn't want to build a vtec motor. I've built 2 turbo cars before. I'm aware of the standard cost to hp ratio that would be associated...

Re: 99 CRV Project

Sorry, I'm mistaken. It's a type r oil pump and gsr water pump.

As far as a budget goes, this build will be pretty mild so it will be covered. I'm not a student or a parent and my finances are...
