Re: Trying to diagnose A/C problem on 05 CRV. Expansion valve or compressor?

I’ll see if I can reach any of the rubber hoses. If there is a big pressure differential when I pince, that would mean my expansion valve is stuck open?

Trying to diagnose A/C problem on 05 CRV. Expansion valve or compressor?

My mom’s AC stopped working in the middle of this heat wave and I’m trying to fix it. The clutch engages but it doesn’t seem to be pumping.

I had 60 PSI on both low and high side when it’s off....

03 Civic SI wants to die after a full gas fillup?

I'm going to look at an 03 Civic SI tomorrow. The guy is saying that the engine wants to stall if he does a full fill up. He says that he needs to rev it to 1500 RPM for about 30 seconds and the...

Re: Brighter headlights?

The blue tinted light bulbs will give you that white color. But anything that's not clear will be less light output no matter what anyone says. You can get a bigger harness and run higher wattage...

Car takes longer to start when theres less than 1/4 tank left?

I've noticed this a few times only because I rarely let the gas get bellow 1/2.

But usually my engine turns over 1 or 2 times and starts. When its bellow 1/4 tank, it turns over 3 or 4 times and...

Re: Build Thread (01 EX Coupe)

Smoked lights are horrible imo. Black housing lights are nice, but smoked lights on a stock silver car look like crap.

If you're gonna build it right, get rid of those lights and paint the grille....

Re: What are all the different factory seatbelt colors?

So there's no light grey or anything? Both black and charcoal would look fine I think. I just don't want to get some light grey one that someone thought was called charcoal.

Re: 2001 DX: Low beams Doesn't work, only High

You swapped new headlights or bulbs? I'm not too familiar with these honda's too but usually the fuse for high beams is separate from the low beams.

My car as 4 total - Left low, Right low, Left...

What are all the different factory seatbelt colors?

I'm buying seat belts for my sister's civic and I see sellers listing them as "dark grey, charcoal, black..." and stuff like that. I'm not sure if they're all describing the same color or if there...

Re: Tell me this isn't a headgasket...

Did you or the shop do a leakdown test? I'm surprised no one suggested one. With your compression numbers it will easily show if it's the headgasket. Unless it's leaking to the outside of the engine...

Re: Gas Milage Improvements

Keep in tuned, change oil often, use the right viscosity, keep tires inflated, stuff like that. Crank pulley and flywheel will help your engine gain rpm faster but if your just driving on the freeway...

Is it ok to have timing 360 degrees off?

I'm talking about the timing between the crankshaft and the camshaft. I was rotating the crank without the timing belt because I was doing my valve stem seals and now I can tell which is tdc exhaust...

Don't need anything fancy, can even be used. I need the left, front, and transmission mounts.

Also need the bracket that goes from the left mount to the engine.

How reliable is the automatic transmission?

I'm looking for a civic for my sister and found an 05 with 90k miles on it but it's automatic. I've heard the 01-05 auto transmissions start to fail after 100k or so. Is this true?

I'd like to get...

Re: 92 civic overheating

Doesn't always mix with the oil. I could go straight to the cylinder and burn off. And white smoke/steam out of the tail pipe?

Re: Tips for removing the crankshaft pulley bolt?

Can't use the starter method because the engine and bolt spin in the same direction.
So what seal can get damaged if it's heated up too much? The front main? Because I have a new one anyways.

Re: Quick review of ebay headlights and lip

I'm not buying these because I can't afford real ones, I have a good job and I save well. I just don't consider my daily worth of more expensive parts. I'd rather spend that money on my other car.
