Re: Deleting Hybrid system from CR-Z, replace with normal L15 engine

I think it's safe to say that it would definitely get worse fuel economy. That is, after all, the purpose of the hybrid system. The only way you might possibly get any better fuel economy is with...

Re: AC Help Needed!

Again, we need to know the pressure on the high side; that will tell you if you are over pressure, of if your compressor is working correctly.

Re: AC Help Needed!

What's your pressure on the high side of the compressor? If that 70psi is on the low side, you may be OVER-pressurized. If it's on the high side, you have problems with either your compressor, or...

Re: d16z6 water pump does not fit?

The D6Z6 engine is a VTEC, but a lot of time that term was used for the B16 (DOHC) engine.

Re: 93 Del sol SI rear brake noise after brakes replaced

You DO know that you have to "turn" the cross in on the caliper, don't you?

If you just pressed it in, then there is no telling what you messed up.

Re: CEL Del Sol 94'

I'm having the same problem with a CEL code 4. Changed distributor AND ECU..no dice. I'm thinking (because the car DOES run great), that it might be an intermittent wiring error.

Re: Can't get starter back together!!!

Put the part with the magnets on it in the armature BEFORE you put the whole assembly back in.

Re: 97 civic - spark plug broke and I don't know how to get the rest out

I had a similar problem on a yamaha cylinder head. I removed the head, and filed through the remaining thread in 3 places...folded it up and removed it from the head. Unfortunately, I DID have to...

Re: Someone tried to steal my car last night...lessons learned

I like the idea of relocating the siren where they wouldn't expect it; but I'd leave a decoy siren under the hood. If they don't find one there, they would look (and expect) it elsewhere. I'd...

Re: Removing Axel-Need Help Please

You DID remember to disconnect the lower ball joint and tie rod, didn't you?
You have to give the spindle room to move away from the axle.....

Re: What's the best flywheel I should use

Si's and VTEC's came with rear disk brakes. As far as I know, the only 3rd light is the one above the rear window. Of course, there may be some aftermarket wings, with lights built in.

Re: Smoking Honda Civic 92 Carb 1500cc

Smoke at pull out? Is this primarily first thing after you start it? If so, check your valve seals. Bad seals let oil down into the cylinder, while the engine is off.

Re: Cel Code 4

You were right, it was an extra piece.....but in the wring harness, not the distributor. So I replaced the distributor, but in still didn't fix the CEL code. On to the ECU.........

It probably would...but I took those pictures with my phone (in the snow) at lunch, so that was the best I could do. That was a great idea about the extra piece, but not the case...that extra...

Re: Civic shifter moves forward at WOT, clunk noise

Does the angle of the shifter change, or only the position? If it's only the position, I'd guess motor mount....but if it's the angle, you may have lost a bolt on your shift linkage.
