If that's the case just keep the ob2..oh ya be sure before you drop in the A4 that you change your auto adjusting timing belt tensioner to the manual tensioner off the H23..there's a conversion kit...

Sounds correct! As long as you switch to ob1 ecu and the dizzy is not fixed then looks like your in the clear..good luck!

Get the coil and the ignition control module tested and also check to see if your getting fuel at the fuel rail. If those check out o.k then check to see if your timing belt didnt break off.

Not too sure how long they last but they should definitely be a part of your routine tune up! Long story short just change them out along with your spark plugs and wires and even your fuel filter....

I totally understand timing adjustment can't be done with the dizzy. Here's the deal, I just changed out the timing belt and wanted to finish the job by adjusting the timing to factory spec but...

Check for spark and get your ignition coil and ignition control module tested, and also check for fuel at the fuel rail. If that checks out o.k then check to see if your timing belt is not broken...

Usually a faulty main relay will cause a car not to start because of both no spark and no fuel, never heard of a main relay causing are car to run or start like shit???

What car is it? and when was the last time you changed your fuel filter? Sounds like you just might need a tune up! spark plugs and wires, cap & rotor and fuel filter..cheap and effective!

It could be as simple as bad spark plug wires or a bad cap and rotor on the distributor.
