I'm on my 3rd EX and love these cars. I have had very few issues ( I do my own wrenching though) so high mileage cars don't scare me.

I'd be willing to bet it was the lighter element, but plug you phone or ipod into it to check to see if it's getting power, then you'll know if it's the element or not.

Good luck with your car, my last honda had "intermittent" failures but wouldn't trow any codes, I'd run fine for a month then start acting up.........sold that car.
