Re: broken axle? help please.

Breaking an axle or a ball joint wouldn't let your rotor hit the rim. If your rotor is hitting the rim, it sounds like your rotor broke. When was the last time you did your brakes? Btw the clicking...

Re: Any help will be appreciated

This time, drive the car nicely for the first 500 miles. No hard launches, no high rpm shifting. No racing. Don't slip the clutch unnecessarily. Break it in nicely and it should last a long time.

Re: Any help will be appreciated

Sounds like the clutch is slipping. What clutch kit did you use? How did you break it in, nice and easy? Or lots of hard launches and high rpm shifting?

Re: Any help will be appreciated

Make sure the bracket for the shifter cables is properly bolted down. Also make sure both retaining clips for the shifter cables are installed.

Re: 1989 JDM Prelude RHD 4WS

Idk why my phone won't let me link it. Go to www.prelude3g.com (http://www.prelude3g.com). It's the first link under exterior.

Re: low oil issue/mushy coolant in reservoir

The liquid not changing color just means that none of your cylinders are leaking into a coolant passage. I'd still say headgasket. Possibly cracked block or head, but most likely headgasket.

Re: 96 civic Dx/b18c type r swap/chipped p72 --> not revving over 7k

I've been running an OBD2A p72 for 5 years on my GSR swap with a junk2 intake manifold. I've never once gotten a code for IABs. Should work fine for plug in testing, it does in NY.

Re: Safety/Reliability Concerns

Not for nothing, the EK platform was never sold in the us. I have a hatch and it's an EJ6. They are all EJs in the us, other than the Si, which is an EM1

re: Need advice on installing manual steering rack in EM1

7k pound charger? Do you do demolition derbys or something. That's around a 4k pound car at the most.

As for your question, I'd use a manual rack. It's designed to be used without power assist,...

Re: $The Value Thread$ What's It Worth? Should I Buy? What's the Cost?

We bought the car from Copart, so unfortunately we don't know any history on it from the previous owner. I'm guessing the mileage is correct since it was last registered in 2003, but I don't know for...

Re: $The Value Thread$ What's It Worth? Should I Buy? What's the Cost?

Looking for a price for my boss on a car we are cleaning up to sell. We've had it a few years, was a street racing impound before that, pd had it for a few years before us. I'll try to get some pics...

Re: tranny swap problems

I know when I used an auto ex harness for my manual GSR swap, I had to do the 3 wire to 2 wire conversion for our IACV.

Re: Blue Devil head gasket fix

I had a Camry that I was running in a demolition derby that I noticed the night before the race had a pinhole coolant leak coming from the block just below the head gasket. I'm guessing a coolant...

Re: 99 front bumper cover on 98 EX

Sure, you gotta change the hood, grille, headlights, and fenders, along with modifying the tow brackets for the bumper cover next to the grille also, tho.

Re: Too old to change transmission fluid?

Check the simple things first, make sure your clutch master cylinder is full and properly bled out. Check for proper free play on your clutch pedal. Check the fluid level in the tranny. Like...

Re: Loud tapping Noise

Oil filters have a bypass valve that will open and allow unfiltered oil to flow if the filter gets too clogged. Also, if that grit was falling on the cams out of the valve cover, it will get sucked...

Re: Loud tapping Noise

Absolutely change the filter each time you change the oil if you try flushing, that crap will just clog the filter each time you start the engine.

Re: Loud tapping Noise

If that much sand got thru the oiling system, there's a good chance your bearings are now shot and you need a full rebuild. You can try flushing everything out as suggested, but I wouldn't hold my...
