I always use premium in my cars, plus an additive on fill ups. (Lucas treatment)

Check to make sure the distributor isn't scorched? Or the wire isn't getting too close and arcing? (replace distro parts)

I guess for specifics like this you would need the Vin and to look with the dealer or other reputable resources...

That's a good suggestion, but I'm back to work tomorrow not much time to test it; but my radar detector has a good battery voltage meter on it; I'll be keeping a close eye on it for any dips in...

No, nothing is hitting the exhaust at all; the burn is definitely coming from the alternator area. (The smoke happened IMMEDIATELY when I started the car; no time to get hot).

Fluid level is still even with the top bar, no loss from what I can tell; I'll check again in another couple of hours, got some errands to run.

I honestly do believe it may have just been over tightened and now that I've replaced the belt as it needed; along with reseating the other, it may be fine and I just need to burn off what's left.

Wait...you'd prefer NOT to have an alarm? Why...wouldn't you want an alarm? Mine has an alarm and it works as keyless entry too. If you don't want that chirp that everyone has, you can turn it off...

Yeah the power and the ground go under the carpet from the front along with the RCA and REM. The speaker wire; which like I said I just had to look at it without rushing to see that the seat easily...
