Civic?

Hello all.

Not sure if any of you remember me, but a few years ago I did a del Sol build. It was a fun car, but I kind of disappeared when I sold it for a 2002 Z28.

Now I'm tired of that and...

Re: del Sol build

Well not much at all has been done to the car lately. It is in the garage, covered up, waiting for February. I got the sub put in the trunk, it sounds good, but when you get driving the engine/road...

Re: del Sol build

As far as paint protection, do I want to wax it, or should I polish it also?
Any recommendations as far as products to use? Looking for a nice deep finish and something I won't have to wax every...

Re: del Sol build

Sub is on the way. Polk Audio DXI 124 DVC. Will be running with a Kicker amp, 300 watts. Will probably build the box over winter break and do a write up on it.

Re: del Sol build

I put the car away for the winter, all covered up and everything. After all that work, the last thing I want to do is ruin it with the salt (or slide into a ditch). I probably won't get much done to...

Re: JDM front end on a DEL SOL?

I wouldn't do it.
You'll never be able to sell it if you do that.

Re: radio cuts out when clutch depressed.

You could back probe the probable wires to the head unit with a multimeter and push the clutch to see what one it is, although it is kind of tedious.
I would check to see if it is the antenna or...

Re: radio cuts out when clutch depressed.

Re: del Sol build

The new stereo has arrived, along with the 4 channel amp. The mono amp should be in the mail soon.

For those who like specs:
Kicker zx350.4 4 channel amp. 60 watts at 4 ohms, but it's really...

Re: Limited slip conversion

It looks more like it would make a locked diff than a limited slip.....
How exactly does that gadget work? Cause it doesn't make it a mechanical, clutch, or fluid limited slip....

Limited slip conversion

So, I was looking around for diffs on ebay, and I found this.

Re: headlight polishing?

I second that. Very good kit, it comes with everything you need as long as you have a drill. It takes a little time, but the difference coming out of the headlights is literally night and day lol. I...

Re: '08 Accord 4 cyl, rough idle at higher RPM

Light anti-seize. Don't be one of those people who adds too much and makes things worse.

Re: HELP!! Posible Vaccumm Leak! :S

Did you spray just those? Spray everywhere where a leak could come from. Still try not to burn it though. That carb cleaner is pretty nasty stuff when fire comes in to play :boom: .

Re: Del Sol HID Aux Light

Bad switch/relay?
It is possible to wire the aux lights to run when you want them. Maybe someone that had the car before you did it that way?

Re: Getting a Del Sol for my daughter - anything I should look out for?

Door handles are another common issue, as are the wrinkly door panels, holes in the seats, etc. Main relays and ignition switches are common on hondas, but the relays are easily fixable with a little...

Re: HELP!! Posible Vaccumm Leak! :S

Could it be ignition timing? Not sure on that someone confirm that
Maybe a misfire, or a lean/rich condition?
Some of those vacuum leaks are hard to...

Re: just bought a 93 sol si got an issue

Check your axles, sounds like you have a problem there. Could also be the brakes like you said...
If the engine doesn't show any signs of problems, you should be ok. I would go ahead and get a valve...
