The noise is not axle end play. Thats not the noise the OP is talking about. Its suspension and the ramp idea is my next troubleshooting method.

That clunk is more than likely not the strut. Im not saying that you dont need to replace your struts but the noise will not go away. Check your end link bushings or check for any spaces between two...
