sorry for the late reply. took the tranny apart and found out that the synchro for 5th was bad and the bearing was shot. thanks

i have a JDM B18C with ITR LSD tranny
while in 5th gear, the gear will pop out if i let go of the gas pedal

im planning to pull ot the head either way, i still need to find out if the valves are bent or not
which is at a high percent by now
and the cam gears are not stock
and i hope the cam shafts are...

haha its seems that way to me
im thinking that the previous owner who replaced the cams with aftermarket cams
probably jus slapped those cams on without even making sure they are at TDC
because...

well like i stated, every time i try to start it up it does the same thing the car on the ytube clip does
and there is absolutely no compression in either cylinder

t-belt teeth stripped so im guessing timing jumped
replaced the t-belt and im more than positive i got the timing aligned
everything is at TDC, only thing a little off is the crankshaft key
it...

with or without the heatshield, it wont change the efficiency of the car
as long as your exhaust manifold, aka header, is not cracked or damaged you should be fine

same here, i think the motor is dead. my dad said he plugged cylinder 1 with a napkin and tried starting the car
nothing happened, when the napkin was suppose to pop out

ohh fyi, all that i have touched is everything that was needed to get to the t-belt
and jus the distributor

lets just say, before i even touched the cam gears, the TDC marks were almost on opposite sides
must have jumped due to the fact that at least 10+ teeth on the t-belt were shredded

timing and everything is correct. not even off by a teeth.
i've only tried to start it up 3 times after i got the TDC. misfired twice and that was about it. not all the belts are back on there...

basically im just replacing the t-belt. im guessing i jus have to put it back on TDC?
t-belt threads were shredded so im guessing timing jumped

i totally forgot to have everything at TDC, so how much more frustration will i have to go through to get the timing...

got the side cover off and found out that the inside of the belt was shredded. but the crank pulley bolt was a pain in the a$$

i thought it would be the timing belt, but that thing is still on there. wont even budge. unless it snapped and got caught on something

was driving then car lost speed and motor died
tried starting it up, car cranks and everything
car jus wont stay running
sounds like distributor gave out
but cams arent...

hmm thanks. I'll try that next weekend when i have the time to raise it. but before i actually put the car down, i took out the passenger axle and turned the driver side axle with my finger inside...

oh well either way im gonna replace the clutch. and yes, for the tranny, it does sound like its a rattling noise from a bearing or something. and yes the noise does go away when clutch is applied.
