Basically just hook a test light between the two pins of one of the injector plugs and then crank the engine over, the light should flash. i suggest you look on google and such for how to's on this...

And as for the grease I would just pick up some cv joint grease which is what your supposed to use due to the high tempratures and such. All the kits i bought came with...

Im not sure if you can buy just the bearing by them self but what I would do is go to a junkyard and pick up an axel with a broken outer cv joint for cheap and then just swap the bearings to the good...

There should be enough slack in the brake lines and cables to let you just lower it down enough to remove it with all that stuff connected, but if its stuck in there good you might have a hard time...

i would say check the gearbok selector switch (i think thats wat its called). its the switch that tells the ecu what gear the car is in and makes the lil light on the cluster come on
