If you really want to do a color change and you have no tools, I suggest you stop before you even start sanding and consider whether you have an enormous amount of time and money to pour into this...

What are you trying to do? If the paint underneath is in good shape, I suggest chemically removing the "new" topcoat using as light a solvent as possible (try acetone or mineral spirits.) If you're...

Re: 6x9s in front?
You'd have to modify the sheet metal pretty extensively or buy a baffle, modify the door panel and deal with weird acoustics. I also suggest selling the second pair.

Re: Big 3 Upgrade/battery
4 gauge is sufficient for the run to the trunk, but you need 0 or 1 gauge for the big 3. You don't really need all that much of it. Better to do it once and have room for larger systems in the future.

Re: Big 3 Upgrade/battery
Have you noticed dimming? I highly doubt that lanzar actually puts out anywhere near 400wrms (2x20amp fuses means 40amps total power, 40*12 = 480w maximum, and that's at the "800w @ 2ohms".) I'd...

I'm confused on your choice of speakers. Why two tweeters and a coaxial? I have infinity kappa tweeters, and I by no means need two of them per door. Doing so will be overkill, especially considering...

How do I know the CFM rating of my air compressor?

Re: How do I know the CFM rating of my air compressor?
It is more complicated than that, but I'd say 12.4 is not a bad estimate. I'd say a 6.5hp 2-stage will run most of the air tools you throw at it, including HVLP guns.

Keep rubbing and pray. Acetone IS nail polish remover.
Could use sometime to rub that is slightly more abrasive or even a fine steel-wool.

I am fairly certain you will not be able to fit 6x9s in the doors. I wouldn't want to, even if I could as sound quality is typically better from round speakers.
I believe the front speakers are...

Check your grounds and RCAs. I know I might get flamed for this, but my system will whine and thump when my ground gets rough or the positive battery terminal gets corroded.

Mass loaded vinyl.
I added "dynamat" (audio-technix b-stock 60mil butyl). Definite improvement in sound quality and a small improvement in road noise, but mass loaded vinyl takes the cake for...

Could you flush the ECUs memory after using this thing by resetting the battery? Seems like it would make it pretty easy to steal if you could.

1000w means virtually nothing. Give us a make and model and we can tell you more. Is it 1000w per channel? Total? Peak? RMS? No clue.
My best guess is the amp is 1000w total, peak. Meaning if it...

What kind of clear coat? You can not do this with urethane paint. I mean, possibly with a very very very slow activator, but I personally wouldn't. Paint guns usually atomize enough to get paint into...

If you plan on getting it painted later, do not primer it unless you want to pay to have everything you did removed when they paint it.

This is not true. You should not lay down filler over any kind of primer (fillers should be direct to metal. Only fillers specifically designed for application over primer may be used over primer.) ...

I second the kappas. Sound good, highs aren't harsh (but they are crisp, off axis tweeters), plenty of midbass. No complaints.
