Re: How-To: Replace Timing Belt, Timing Balancer Belt and Water Pump on a F22B1

TA, Thanks for the PDA write up. While I have a B2 non vtec, it's all quite similar and at 180k, Mine will be due right pretty soon. Probably do it at 200k.

Re: What can I do to make my windows roll up faster?

Ok then sorry about the flame. Didn't realise that posters info was suspect.

Chalk another one up for the Muffin man! Always good posts and on point.

Re: put old transmission fluid in?

And there we have where the "myth" originates. While it's true to some degree as v4lu3s stated they usually do not make a comeback once the bs starts. So, what to do? First off, this is exactly why...

Re: What can I do to make my windows roll up faster?

Wait a sec Lost Again,
Of course it's a cut a paste from a manual! You think the guys going to sit and type explicit instructions when 90% of whats applicable is right there in the diagram? Come on...

Re: 1993 Accord LX transmission issues

Interesting (and I'm sure frustrating too Urajim). As Mike said D2 would and should be second gear only used for winter starts to avoid spinning the tires. When you say "no pull" do you mean as if...

Re: 2001 Accord with slipping transmission ?s

Doc,

Or, another alternative (versus rebuilding the trans) is to buy a reman tranny with warrentee and install or have it installed. Sounds like it might be about the same cost wise. I have a...

Re: 1993 Accord LX transmission issues

You have removed and cleaned the shift solenoids? How did you do that?

Re: Tranny issue

No. Your trans is way past any amount of flushing fixing that. If you want to keep the car you need to get a reman trans or take your chances with a junk yard used one. If you go the second route...

Re: Car bogs and lacks power with A/C on

This is a good post and is what I would check too. Your compressor might be half seized. The air conditioner compressor clutch is not adjustable. It either engages, doesn't or can slip which you...

Re: Bought used car that had Dextron ATF

I would not bother doing it 3 times if you are not having any problems with it after 2 1/2 years? If there was a problem, it would have certainly manifested itself within 2 1/2 years. I would drain...

Re: Transmission problems

The filter is in inside the transmission Jordy. That's not gonna fix the problem. Who ever suggested the shift control solenoid makes a lot more sense.

It's not going to fix the jerking problem you describe in your other post.

Re: h23 tranny/ cable issues?

have you got allot of clutch? Is it disengaging completely? That might explain why it works with the engine off, or something is torqing when the engines on. Motor and tranny mounts all nice and...

Re: Uneven firing

Break booster vacume line. You'd be better off to just clean the egr ports. MHO.

Re: Seafoam engine treatment reviews??

I dunno, it exploded!

Truth be told I think its a placebo effect. People saying gosh I "think" its smoother or it "seems" to idle better? I'd like to see measurable results.

Re: Uneven firing

Hard to say without hearing it. I doubt it's firing unevenly, but rather it's misfiring intermittently. It could be the EGR ports are clogged a bit?

Re: Help me diagnose why my 93 Accord runs like donkey.

Good post and makes good sense. He did state that he changed the plugs and wires, cap and rotor, so possibly that plug wire is defective or (like some new wires sets) he needs to make sure that the...

Re: 94 EX, JDM F22b vtec timing, now problems

That would be the Idle air control. It's located on the throttle body. If you do a seach you'll see a few articles or threads on how to fix/adjust it. If you do, don't tighten it down hard, just...

Re: 2000 Accord Brakes warping alot

I agree with 98. Once they warp it's only a matter of time before they do it again. While 30k miles is on the low side of a service limit. My 95 Accord had 172k and I've only replaced mine once. ...

Re: 94 EX, JDM F22b vtec timing, now problems

Nope doesn't sound like anything to do with the valve timing causing that. So, good news is you did the waterpump and timing belt correctly. The bad is that you have another issue. As Mike...

Re: Help me diagnose why my 93 Accord runs like donkey.

Check under the FAQ section of this forum. I believe there is a step by step how to do this job. In short, it requires removing the fuel rail. The ports are located under it. I found it. Here ya...

Re: Methods to stop coolant leak from water pump weep hole

Hmmmm, that just doesn't sound right to me. Whenever a water pump starts to weep its only going to get worse and eventually start spraying coolant all over the place and after that (and worse)...
