Don't think so, but that's nothing new. Just tried again (no seatbelt) and got no beeps.

Ok, so I have the two rubber-banded together. Works now.

However - one time it wouldn't start the car, it'd just crank and crank. Chip was too far away maybe? Is that how the immobilizer works?...

actually, get this. i just remembered i had a dupe made once when i locked the key in the car - but it isn't chipped.

i took that one out to the car just to see if it'd turn, and it did! so unless...

Two weeks ago, the shop disabled the clutch sensor and clamped down the starter solenoid (which was apparently a bit loose).

No issues at all after that, until this...

Ok, here's the latest.

Put OE plugs (NGK/Honda) in, and fixed the exhaust leak (so much quieter!).

The codes came right back within half an hour or so.
