Have you checked the resistance between the terminals on the torque converter clutch solenoid? I am assuming TCC stood for torque converter clutch. The resistance should be 12-25 ohms per the manual....

Did you check the cam and crank sensor plugs? Another common problem I have heard is plugging the MAP and TPS sensors in reversed. Meaning plugging the TPS wires into the MAP sensor and vice versa.

Not too bad. You do have to pull the accessories and the crank gear off the drivers side. I pulled mine minus the manual transmission out the top. So it should be doable. I would pull the engine...

I wonder if the noise related to the a/c was the clutch on the compressor going out? Your second problem sounds like it went into limp mode from what I have heard about it. As far as the TDC error...
