I had codes P0505 (Idle Air Control System: Malfunction) and P1457 (Evaporative Emissions Control System Leakage EVAP Canister System).

Surging at idle

My daughter was driving on the highway and hit a puddle of water. Don't know what speed but now the car surges at idle, revving up and down.

I looked at the car last week and didn't see any water...

Looks like beam style of wiper (floppy looking one) would lay flat versus the convention metal style you have on.

I've been reading old posts about potential of an EGR delete for 98-02 Honda Accords and the consensus seems to indicate that it can't be done without a tune of some sort.

I finally got the General Altimax HP tires on my Accord.

It certainly feels like a softer ride and appears to be about 10% quieter in the cabin on the highway.

Time will tell.

When I got home from work I noticed that Discount Tire installed Yokahamas...

The more I think about it the more I'm betting it is the tire. On smooth roads the cabin noise is tolerable. On rough roads it's annoying.

I bought Kuhmo Escta Platinum tires about 10,000 miles...

Buy a A/C manifold gauge set and a thermometer (to measure temperature at the vent).

Get the readings your self and at least diagnose the possible issues before taking it in to a shop.
