Re: Stock 92 Civic - Hard to start and bogging when revved

Well he mentioned he drove it for 2 weeks so he may have ran down the tank and shoved the bad gas through the lines? If he was driving on just all that old gas I don't know..

Re: Stock 92 Civic - Hard to start and bogging when revved

I read the thread and came in to say this same thing about maybe just putting some fresh gas in. My friend bought a 92 hatch that sat for a while (longer than seller admitted) and it died shortly...

Re: B20B Swap running lean

Thanks a lot for this as I was looking to do the same but it looks like I'll be ordering a narrow and a wideband.

How's the car running now?

Re: Radiator fan not working

Yeah what I think I'll do before I pull it out of the car is to let the engine warm up to where the fan should come on, pull the thermo fan plug and check for continuity on the posts of the switch,...

Re: Radiator fan not working

Correct, the thermo switch is threaded into the thermostat. It has a single 2 wire plug and the switch completes the circuit at temperature and allows current to flow from one wire to the other. This...

Re: Radiator fan not working

The coolant was bled following honda procedure as stated in my honda manual, and again as posted in the other thread.

The checking of the idle was to try to help diagnose the very low engine RPM...

Re: Radiator fan not working

The coolant has now been bleed 3 times, I just drove 200+ miles, mostly highway and the fan did not engage

Re: Radiator fan not working

Thanks for your reply and I notice that I did fail to mention that the car had a low idle before swapping the thermostat but I will bleed the coolant again, never hurts. I will check the temp sensor...

Re: Radiator fan not working

I'm going to install a temporary manual switch for the fans to see if the fans engaging will increase the RPM at dead stops when warm and then reply but I don't see that as a solid permanent solution.

Re: Radiator fan not working

I'm more worried about the low idle at stop lights/intersections etc. The plugs/wires/valve cover gasket are all brand new. Timing, to the best of my limited ability is correct. I do not have a no...

This is the number one thread when you search, and it is the exact same problem. You've been around long enough to not need to see 17xxxx unfinished threads that have no solutions and you should know...

Re: 1st gen civic cvcc B18c1 turbo RYR Build

Looks great katch. Do you know if there were any stock bolt-in options for 4 wheel disc that are 26 spline, even if it would require changing the knuckles along with the upper and lower control arms?

Hey Corey, did you get anywhere with swapping in the 5th gen d-series motor? I'd be interested in seeing/reading how that went. Thanks

Re: No significant decrease in white smoke after valve seals changed

Slight update:

I started the motor and let it run (maybe 2 minutes tops) and got the obnoxious cloud of white smoke out of the exhaust along with a noticeable drop of fluid in the radiator. I...

Re: No significant decrease in white smoke after valve seals changed

I bought the engine fully assembled and I built a leakdown tester to test and hold pressure in the cylinders and changed the valve seals without removing the cylinder head. The process was pretty...

Re: No significant decrease in white smoke after valve seals changed

I don't think I have any means to tell if the head gasket is 100% fine but I am worrying more about this engine and the "mechanic" who rebuilt it. Next time I get to the warehouse I will do another...

Re: Quarter Panel Rust Repair EH2 Issues

Sorry I don't think I can help but thank you for the website for the patch panels, I wasn't aware this was an option. I hope you get it figured out as I have a 92 hatch that needs this done as well.

Re: First time? Electronic Switchable Hood Exit Exhaust

I don't know why but I expected a sliding tray/panel with a linear actuator under the hood that opened via electronic switch. But then the pipes wouldn't be able to extend through the hood. Looks...
