Re: car shakes when accelerating

More than likely the cv joint is bad. Could be a rough wheel beaing or a damaged axle as well.

Re: 92 civic lx terrible gas mileage please help

oil on the plugs from internals could be from worn valve guides or piston rings. But you would also be smoking. Do a compression test...couldn't hurt. Also other random things could take away from...

Re: engine bay still squeaking, please help :-(

Please do not rub vaseline all over your belts...slippage=more squealing = no transfer of power...i would agree with the alternator squealing when you put load on it as the bearings tend to wear...

Re: ej wont start unless clutch started

Car needs 3 things to start: Fuel, Spark, and Air. You kind of have to expand the post with more info but...could be a bad dizzy, fouled plugs, a clogged air filter, fuel pump not priming, clogged...

Re: d16z6 boost help

Psi doesn't mean shit...it's how much power you are making that is relative. The rods could handle 10000 psi if you are only making 240 to the wheels. I'm running 11 psi making 220ish to the wheels...

Re: Mother of all Idle problems

Yeah d15 IACV's and d16 IACV's are identical. I used my d15 on my d16 swap. The different encasings of the IAC motor won't make a difference they are just visually different as they are all operating...

You can't always clean the valves...I had a mad surge too...and I tried doing what you did...and still had that problem...ended up being the fast idle valve needed to be replaced. It is mechanically...

Re: Jdm B16a swap, wont hold steady idle...help.

Cleaning your iacv doesn't always work...motor of the IACV may still be bad...bust out the ohm tester...touch leads to the iacv motor terminals...should get between 10-15 ohms...if not...than the...

Re: HELP PLEASE high idle when AC and headlight are on

Your iacv might be clean...but that doesn't mean your IACV motor isn't bad. In that case cleaning it won't make a bit of difference. Use an ohm tester and put both the wires to the terminals on the...

Re: rough running civic NO CEL

Those are very low compression numbers...first I would make sure you did the test properly...allow the engine to crank at least 7 times while holding the throttle wide open. I think haynes says the...

Re: ***How-To Clean*** Your IACV a.k.a. Idle Air Control Valve
