Re: seriously dont know why it wont start

Easy money, biggest relay. It's bolted on the left hand side of the steering columnat the top closer to the dash(if it's still OG)

Re: seriously dont know why it wont start

Jump the relay. You have no pulse width, no fuel pressure or both.

Re: No spark? ? ?

The blue white wire is for the blower motor, one other wire is power to the ECU from the main relay.

The wire's shielding looks toasted, but not through and the copper feels solid.

I re-ran...

Re: No spark? ? ?

It looks like whatever the green wire is(real thin wire) and a yellow/black wire got hot from the inside, they did not touch any metal since they were inside the fat plastic casing. No copper is...

Re: No spark? ? ?

Nope, it's burnt. A few of the wires look like they got pretty warm. I can't really tell from what though.

I got it to start for a split second. . . . . We'll see more tomorrow.

Re: No spark? ? ?

Maaaan, after getting scraped up and laying upside down for an hour or so I got to the burnt looking piece.

None of the wires look burnt through, one of them was a green with some silver dots and...

Re: No spark? ? ?

I pulled the dash, now I see there is no way to remove the wiring harness from the car without taking down all the pedals.

I was thinking of re-running the specific burnt wires, but I can't even...

Re: No spark? ? ?

I kind of figured it was a wire after seeing this. . . I will look today when it warms up.

Don't know WTF happened yet though, I never seen smoke.

I somehow think the dash will have to come...

Re: No spark? ? ?

Really? U can't be more worthless can you?

I checked for voltage, I have power to the coil and the ground is just fine.

Swapped the igniter and coil.

What would cause it not to have a...

No spark? ? ?

I have a 92 Prelude that originally came with a SOHC motor. Tore out the motor and swapped in a DOHC f22.

Everything was running until yesterday. Car started for 2 seconds cut out and died.

Re: What Have you done to your Prelude today?

Got it painted (for free).

Looks like ass in person. It's a cheap spray job, but it's still way better then before. Also, the jambs are painted too. Just the prep work was real bad.

Re: Which ECU and where?

I was hoping just to throw a ECU in that would would well.

I don't think it's worth to spend that much $ on this since I doubt that it will make any noticeable gains, really.

Just it not...

Re: Which ECU and where?

A h23 is a bit different, it's set up for a knock sensor which this motor does not have. The SOHC ECU was a direct swap as far as connecting crap goes. It's just that it can't hand with the fact the...

Which ECU and where?

Well, hell. . . . My 92 Prelude is still running fine(sort of).

It came with a SOHC f22. I dropped in a JDM f22b OBD2 DOHC motor. I converted everything from the SOHC (Dizzy, harness, stock ECU...

Re: 92 Prelude ignition timing ? ? ?

Just timed it with my Vac Gauge. . . Never thought about that one.

Seems to run better and not backfire anymore. Backfired like a mother before.

I'd love to get a PCM with a real dyno tune....

Re: 92 Prelude ignition timing ? ? ?

Can I get a what and what? ? ?

Got a timing light in hand.

The dizzy is off the f22b with a spliced connector from the f22a.

There is no window between the tranny and engine block.

92 Prelude ignition timing ? ? ?

Well, I am still trying to find a way to set the ignition timing on our 92. It has a JDM OBD2 f22b converted to OBD1, which is pretty much a US h23a non VTEC.

It runs pretty decent and @ a...

Where to put a aftermarket temp sensor on a f22b?

There are 3 in it now. I don't use any of them for the fans, they are on a independent controller.

Which one can I remove to use for a separate gauge?

Re: Overheating. . . Really?

It stays in check now. Gets to 200 with the AC on and idling in 110 degree weather.

Good enough for now.

I ordered a fan controller and 2 mishimoto fans.
