built gsr leaking from HG

I got the gsr head and block resurfaced the first time. I took the gsr head on and off about 4 times. It has ARP headstuds torqued to 80lbs... the 5th time i put a brand new HG and it still leaked...

and no on the performer x... a skunk2 will outperform it in a 2.0l motor

I dont have a straightedge or the money to buy it right now... I will eventually check it when I get the money...

BTW... how do heads lose their straightness??? is it once is torqued down, or if...

I didnt blow 4 HG.... heres the story
i did a 1 layer first time then cr was goonna be at like 12:8 so i took it out and did the other 2 layers
then i said f it took it off again and put a new one...

it is a GSR timing belt. Also, yes it was done to OEM spec.

It is tighter than my friends type r and ls vtec... idk what it is. and it is in time both cam gears face eachother at TDC... im thinking maybe the tensioner is bad?

okay guys I built a gsr with 12:5 CR.... after marker cams, cam gears, etc... when I try to crank the motor it seems as if the belt is going to skip a tooth... It rotates everything but it does not...

its for a GSR as you guys can see... where the throttle cable goes on the TB it turns the oppsite way so the cable does not...

I built a high compression GSR with aftermarket cams, etc... I forgot to put in the dowel pins and I realized it after the motor was completely built. Are they necessary because if I can get away...

I bought a H series hatch, took it out to put a b series in. I noticed when I put the motor in that the side (transmission side)...

I will do this. does anyone know what I should start with before I tune it like for example +1 on the exhaust and -2 on the intake?

and the engine is still on a stand

no. I just set everything at 0 and drive it slow to tune it. My tuner said itll be good at 0 0 for now until the tune. I don't know how to degree cams and all that. What is your intake and exhaust...

it seems like I would be spinning it the wrong way because it creates slack going counter clockwise

okay guys I built a gsr. With supertech valvetrain aftermarket cams and cam gears. when i set timing at 0 its all good. when I try to turn the crank (motor is still on a stand) the intake cam moves...

put it this way. you can safely bore a ls/gsr/type r block to 82mm for all motor. honda recommends that once a b20 block needs to be bored, to just throw it away... he is right on no replacement for...

... LS block all day. b20 is for na mostly... get forged bottom end and just hone the ls sleeves... just do a hone stay at 81mmif possible. you can do around 15psi.... and if you build the head you...

yes you will lose power. around 10whp give and take I would say maybe more depending on how the rest of the build is. and 350whp? maybe a 1.8l block. a b20 block I doubt will hold that much hp....
