Re: How much boost i can use?

An older style D16 will not fit in a 7th generation Civic, the d16 and d17 are not compatible, You need to google and do a lot of research

Re: D17A1 Oil Pressure Problems

Re: How much boost i can use?

The d17 is a much weaker engine then those before it. The 7th gen civic is kinda a turd when it comes to modification. Its just not worth spending the money. Best bet if you want a good Civic base to...

Re: Help figuring out why the engine acting up..

The Tach not getting a signal may be a wire left unplugged or two wires may have gotten crossed, any...

Re: How much boost i can use?

Wrong car to buy if you want "Boost" stock D17's can handle very little boost on a healthy motor, You dont need a block guard for high boost, you need a K swap

Re: Bad head gasket

This stuff can work temporarily for small oil leaks, maybe even a rear main seal, but again....temporary. I would never attempt it for a long term solution. And I wouldnt assume it would do anything...

Re: SHOULD I BUY (HELP PLEASE!!!) 2005 Civic

Spend the 100 or so bucks and take it to Honda for a pre-purchase inspection. Theyll tell you if anything is wrong and what it may need.

Re: Possible transmission blow and overheating

First thing you need to figure out is this a tranny issue or an engine issue. (Sounds like trans.) check fluid, see if its full or burnt or what it might be. Scan for codes and go from there, If the...

Re: 2003 d17 non vtec

The D17 is a turd, nothing short of a turbo will really gain you anything, and it probably wouldnt last long boosted either.

Re: Motor Oil Leak, can't figure out from where

If you really want you can try Blue Devil, its a stop leak product, it does usually stop the leak for a while but definitely isnt a long term fix.
