I just finished doing a full gsr swap into my ek, the problem is I can shift into 1st, 2nd, 5th and reverse fine, but 3rd and 4th are just not there. It's like hitting a wall. I had the trans apart...

Figured it out. The driver side caliper (which was replace for a reman from autozone) the parking brake pin was seized. Replaced the caliper and its working properly now

That's weird man. I bought one for my 96-00 coupe and loved it! Mine didn't step down like that. I've since then swapped it onto my eg sedan. After 20k miles it still sounds good

It's quite possible since they were coiled up from the package. But I loosened all the mounts and made sure it had some slack in it. It just seems as the cable short. It could also be possible that I...

The rear brakes are bled and I had firm pedal. And yes the mechanism's are free. I can see them move.

Well I thought of the crazy idea for the hell of it swapping it with another P28 I had laying around, and guess what! Boom it idles and runs flawlessly again

Yeah when it starts it does idle high like it should, also no misfire or running rough when it starts. Isn't the ECT sensor on the cylinder head under the distributor?
