Re: 2003 Pilot false miss code issue

A little online research shows that the crankshaft angle sensor data I'm looking for is not in Mode 6. For the reference of other members, and for future searching, I will post the links to find Mode...

Re: Replacement windshield water squirters

I'm sure the 303 product is good. However, you are wrong about liquid W/S washer solvent containing antifreeze. It contains rubbing alcohol. I live and work [and own an auto repair business] in SE...

Re: 2003 Pilot false miss code issue

My Snap On scanner does not show the status of the crankshaft sensor pattern learn [adaptive learning] in the data stream. Fooling around with my scanner some more, I note that there is a feature...

Re: SRS Light

EJ,
No, I don't think you have to worry about anything when doing what was suggested. FYI, I'm a professional mechanic with my own shop. I own a Snap On scanner, so I rarely have to resort to this...

Re: SRS Light

That trick does not work on the SRS system. You need to use a scan tool to find the fault code. This code will tell where the problem is. Once and ONLY after the problem is fixed, can the lamp be...

Re: SRS Light

The fuses for the SRS [Supplemental Restraint System] on your car are located on the driver's side fuse box inside the car. Check fuses # 1, 2, 7 & 9. These all relate to the SRS system.
You can...

Re: Replacement windshield water squirters

Often, the nozzles for windshield washers get clogged with wax, when you wax your car. The wax dries and plugs up the nozzles. Before making a mountain out of a [possible] mole hill, try the...

Re: 95 civic electrical problem

I'd also check with a quality aftermarket parts store. Dorman Products now carries Airbag clock springs for a lot of popular cars. The Dorman stuff is very good and cheaper than the dealer.

Re: 95 civic electrical problem

Ron is correct that the clock spring is the most common fault in the SRS system. However, I would not go with a used clock spring. This is a part that wears out from the constant turning of the...

Re: CD play problem

Winne,
Unless your car stereo is designed to handle MP3 format [ a form of music compression ] that CD will not play. Try burning a CD in CDA [original CD music] format. See if it will play that...

I have a customer's 2003 Pilot which had a code for the knock sensor circuit. I found the problem and repaired it. Using my Snap On MT2500 [red brick] scanner, I cleared the fault code and road...
