Re: Broke off exhaust manifold headstud

If it continues to leak exhaust right at the head ports, it will eventually burn a valve. (burnt valve = chipped or broken valve and needs to be replaced by removing the cylinder head). You should...

Re: Under spray in a can... does this exist/any good ?

That rubberized undercoating doesn't stick too well, so please clean that thing thoroughly with SuperClean and hose/pressure before even doing anything.

Dilute SuperClean 50% with water or it can...

Re: Can I use Fuel Grade Sealant to plug hole drilled in EVAP system shut valve?

I sealed it up with a fuel-grade sealant and drove it about 5-6 miles. No stored or pending codes, and all emissions systems appear to have completed their cycles. Today I will go to take the GA...

Re: Fuel Grade Sealant (hole in vapor recovery)

Yea, I am aware that damage might have occurred. Here is a perfect example of why we should never trust car audio shops to install an amplifier.

So I guess I will first try the sealant method. ...

Re: Fuel Grade Sealant (hole in vapor recovery)

Hoping to get a quick fix so it can pass emissions and I can run it through the engine break-in process. I have a 7/16" hole there now I can poke a tube through. Plus it has a full tank of Premium...

Re: Fuel Grade Sealant (hole in vapor recovery)

Hard to say by the diagram. It is large, white plastic, and I think it is round-ish. Located at center of trunk, right near the back seat.

*edit*
Oh wait, the diagram I was looking at before...

Can I use Fuel Grade Sealant to plug hole drilled in EVAP system shut valve?

Apparently, the previous owner drilled a hole in the trunk to mount an amp ground and drilled through the WHITE PLASTIC part that is considered the 'fuel vapor recovery valve' or something like that...

Re: 97 civic coupe veering off to the right

Having those two different tire sizes in the front can also be bad for the differential/transmission.

Re: Auto-man butchered wiring

Either he was a wack-job, cheap, or you have more done than just a auto-manual conversion.

I would diagnose everything before making any changes. Try to understand why the previous wiring was...

Re: Correct K&N Air Filter for an EK with B16a?

What size intake pipe are you using. It's not that complicated. If you have 2.75" pipe, buy a cone with 2.75" outlet.

Re: B18c5 into EK throttle cable problem

Well, if you can install an intake manifold properly and also do an engine swap, I would assume you already know how to adjust a throttle cable, right?

So what is the problem, or what happens when...

Re: '95 VX whirring noise when A/C is not on

If you think it is the AC compressor, then maybe the pulley or the shaft is giving out. If it is the shaft, eventually it will just shear off. If it is the clutch, you could replace it after...

Re: Ferio-ichi3's first ever build!!

Yes, a spun bearing does that. I have a set of H23/F23 rods that were spun before I bought them. Was enough to catch a nail and the machinist said it was no good.
