CRV cutting out

My wife has a manual 2002 CRV (I thinks its Mk 2)

The engine management light came on a few days ago and the car went into "limp" mode until she turned it off and on.This has happened a few times....

Just to recap the problem as well. The car would stall and we would lose spark as soon as the car temperature gauge hit it's normal operating temperature.

I'm so happy that this car is working...

Thanks for the replies guys. I took it to Honda, they adjusted the valves and the problem still persists.

Any other ideas?
