thanks for the reply. I just went and test drove the civic and the only thing I noticed was a looping idle. there was also a little rust on the rocker. and at 50 mph the car was running at 2500 rpms...

Ive already checked the pcv and it is fine. I have recently changed the valve cover gasket, gromets and top seals. I have not replaced the bottom spark plug seals though. Could there be too much oil...

Im not sure because it also shudders under acceleration. I can be driving down the road accelerate and then the car shakes, this just started.

Sorry to bring back the dead, but I still havn't changed the joints and now it makes clunks on acceleration, is this the cv. It only does it when the car is cold.
