Re: $The Value Thread$ What's It Worth? Should I Buy? What's the Cost?

Oh, oops ^^;
Yep, it's above book value and in all honesty I was looking to sell it this year for about $4000 anyways. So with low-ballers, I'm probably looking at a good deal anyway.
Just kinda...

Re: $The Value Thread$ What's It Worth? Should I Buy? What's the Cost?

Re: $The Value Thread$ What's It Worth? Should I Buy? What's the Cost?

Re: Verdict is in - Y7block/Y8 Head - Adjustable cam gear manditory

Um...I did the swap on mine with a milled head, and yes, that WILL throw the timing off slightly (1-2 degrees). Used the Y7 belt. Instead of monkeying around with different cam gears, do what I did...

Re: BLOWN HEAD GASKET!?! - ANYONE TRIED "BAR'S" or "BlueDevil" Sealant

Used it a few years ago when I was having overheating issues. All it did was leave goo everywhere. Once I replaced my headgasket, I had to replace my thermostat and radiator as well due to the...

Re: 98 civic Ex shutting down while idling

Check your timing and your Idle Air Control valve.
Make sure your Throttle Positioning Sensor and MAP sensors are plugged in, and that the plugs aren't switched, cuz that'll definitely kill your...

Re: shift console backlight

I think he means the little light under the center console where the gear shift is.
Mine was out for years before I saw an electrical diagram that showed there's a tiny bulb under that thing.
It's...

Re: changed cluster, engine dies

Loose/dirty battery clamps...unless you have something crazy-assed grounding out behind your cluster. And that shouldn't make the car shut off anyway.
Yeah, I'm leaning towards battery clamps being...

Re: Vtec

Got a mini-me swap myself (though mine was done out of necessity/mistake--blew headgasket years ago and had the wrong head sent to me, so I rolled with it).
But that's beside the point.
5-10 years...

Re: 98 Civic Auto Shifter

Had the same problem with mine for a bit.
You have to play with the screws a little bit to get it just right. Too loose, the handle comes off, too tight, the shifter button will have issues getting...

Re: oil inside overflow tank and on overflow hose (93 del sol)

Yep, it can cause runability issues, but the only way for oil to get into the coolant is via a headgasket leak (or a MAJOR issue somewhere in the head/block). You can also get an oily residue in the...

Re: Oil leaking

The O-Ring he's talking about fits around the dizzy shaft where it connects to the camshaft. Don't bother with trying to guesstimate sizes from an auto parts store--the damn things are either too...

Re: oil inside overflow tank and on overflow hose (93 del sol)

Who the heck told you that? o.O
If the PCV is bad, you can get oil in your AIR intake system, but I pretty sure the PCV wouldn't have anything to do with the radiator at all.

You COULD be leaking...

Re: Where to go to get racing header installed?

Local muffler shop (or a buddy that can weld). Call around for pricing if that's the big issue, if not, find a reputable one, tell them what you need, and schedule an appointment.
Simple as that...
